Remembering a Friend

To all of my friends, I’ve had some technical difficulties and have been trying to learn how to use WordPress to its best advantage, hence the weeks since I have made a new blog post. Thank you for your patience.

Here is a wonderful picture from Albrecht Guggisberg of Switzerland, of our mutual friend Christopher Renwick, circa 1989 when Chris was familiarizing himself with an Alfa Romeo 8C2900 with a Swiss body.

These cars represent the most heroic era of motorsports during the immediate prewar era. Offering mighty performance and usually fitted with some of the most adventurous and attractive bodywork conceived, the Alfa Romeo, usually known as the “2.9,” ranks among the rarest and desirable high-performance automobiles ever conceived. The Alfa Romeo 2.9 was without doubt one of Christopher’s favorites, so I felt these images are particularly fitting.

I miss our regular conversations and wish I had known you longer, Chris.
