You may ask, “Why do we need another website about classic cars and collector-car auctions?” That’s a good question. I managed to join the collector-car auction business as a catalog writer in early 2008 and finally found a way to combine my lifelong obsession with automobiles (and basically anything with a motor) with how I earn my living. I’ve been blessed to have experienced the first generation Hot Wheels miniature cars during the late ’60s and as an adult, I’ve helped many of their full-size versions, including the Alexander Brothers’ iconic Dodge Deora surf pickup and many more legends of the past and present at auction.

During this journey, I’ve also met a lot of great people, made wonderful friendships, experienced many great automobile collections, and witnessed many interesting auctions. Along the way, I also feel as though I have gained a connection to history itself and the personalities who made it all happen in the first place.

Apart from these experiences, I also believe that auction sales are likely the best way to gauge market prices for virtually any item of value that is offered for sale. There are many styles, approaches, innovations, and market trends in this timeless art, and I feel they deserve equally unique coverage, which I will attempt to deliver to you.

As a professional writer, I’ve also updated and reposted many of my prior print and online articles, including many covering cars consigned by me to various auctions and the vehicles and aircraft I have privately offered for sale in the recent past.

I hope you will enjoy this blog, check on updates as they are posted, and if you want to discuss your next writing project or auction consignment, add a comment to your favorite post, email me at davidneyens1@gmail.com, or call me directly at 519-495-8448.
